You will notice all WT's 1st of the month, the PUBLIC ones, will not talk at all about the FDS, or 1914. But almost every 15th/ STUDY/ PRIVATE WT WILL. It's like they teach the truth to the public in the sense of getting holy spirit, etc, then after they are attending meetings and progressed enough, i guess that's when the FDS comes in, as they will then be studying the private WT's.
I believe the commerical term is bait & switch.

i figured that although my wife is busy getting herself ready for baptism, answering the pre-baptismal questions and all, i would still get her something for valentine's day.
i wanted to give it to her at work and give her some 'bragging rights' with her female co-workers but it did not work out.

Sorry, didn't know you already gave her a DIAB. I would just get her a nice card. It let's her know you are still romantic and thinking about her, plus it lessens the chance of possibly offending her.

I'm seriously thinking about asking her to leave my home indefinitely. I say 'my home' because I alone pay the rent, the phone, the lights and well, just about everything else. It's my home because I paid for it.

Just try your best to work it out with your young wife & child and not let the thoughts and emotions of your JW situation get the best of you. You could actually be the one made to leave the home and then you would just have another problem to deal with.
I'm going to PM you my phone number. Call me anytime if you like. I am by no means a professional counselor, but I was a former JW elder and have helped many people over the years including non-JW's. I can give you good advise or just somebody to talk to without spouting scripture or WTS policy & retoric.

is it official watchtower policy that an elder cannot remain an elder if he allows his children to go to college?.
also, is it official policy that a person cannot have "privileges" or even pioneer if they are attending college?.
if it is, can someone post scans of the official boe letters stating the watchtower policy concerning college?.
Sounds like some JW's are going to have more time for college.
People need to force their hand to change or let it collaspe from the weight of the burdens it imposes on it's membership.

I knew of a workplace situation where a female employee complained to HR that a male employee had masturbated in front of her like 25 times. Evidently, up to 24 times is okay and he finally crossed the line on the 25th time.

How stupid can it get?
I really didn't fault her. This sister was a very meek and humble person. No doubt the WTS's demonizing of masturbation made her think she had to confess this to the elders in order to remain in Jehovah's favor. My problem is you don't need to know this about people. It is hard not to remember this type of thing whenever you interact with them again. Very unnesessary. Should just be a matter with them and Jehovah.

Elders are simply diminishing! They HAVE to resort to Mini Servants. This is evidence of Jehovah's blessings!
Has to be the case. I seen others in other congs. leave before I did. Folks you would never think. Old elders back then probably dead now, or not in good health. From reports here, the org. has gotten wackier and more have left. Seems like lot's of good x-elders here. Can't see as many people reaching out or meeting the qualifications to be appointed elder how days.
The WTS is bleeding out from self-inflicted wounds.
